Meet our Design Team
Vice President of Design and Production
Laurence has always had an eye for fashion, and has turned his passion for creating beautiful, wearable hair into a remarkable success and a lifelong career. Born, raised and educated in England, Laurence has since traveled around the world to develop the best techniques and to procure the finest materials in order to develop high quality, award-winning products for HairUWear. “When designing a new style, it must be on point, but not so high fashion that it doesn’t appeal to consumers. It must be wearable and believable. Color is one of my favorite aspects of design. Popular shades come and go; what’s exciting and on-trend is constantly evolving.” Laurence’s impressive list of achievements with HairUWear includes designing the patented Memory Cap®, working one-on-one with Raquel Welch to create her celebrated Signature Collection, directing a team of designers and supervising all overseas production.
Director of Design
Teresa Lane has provided HairUWear with her expertise as Director Of Design for more than 16 years, accumulating numerous patents for inventing hair pieces and extensions that are both beautiful and user friendly. She draws upon years of prior experience as a business owner, a licensed cosmetologist and supervisor for several professional beauty salons. Her self-owned and operated salon “Tresses by Teresa” led to great opportunities with Glemby International, where she groomed a long-term relationship with the Indianapolis Colts cheerleaders. Recognizing Teresa’s growing reputation as a world-class designer, HairUWear recruited her to develop the Hairdo and POP Put On Pieces collections along with several other lines. HairUWear values Teresa’s ability to recognize trends in fashion before they happen, as well as her positive outlook on absolutely everything.
