Firstly, check your private insurance policy. A prescription from your doctor for a “cranial prosthesis” or “hair prosthesis” may help cover the cost of a wig.

Styling & Vård

Cap Construction
A lace front is a wig feature designed to resemble a natural hairline. A lace front includes individually attached hairs that generally extends only across the forehead, although some styles have an extended temple-to-temple lace front. These individually attached hairs give the effect that the hair is growing directly out of the scalp. While a lace front only extends across the forehead and an inch or two behind the hairline, a monofilament feature can give the same look along the hair part.
A wig with a monofilament feature has a thin layer of sheer mesh at either the part, crown, or top. Similar to a lace front, a monofilament feature adds to the natural look of a wig. Monofilament imitates a natural hair part, top, or crown and gives the appearance of hair growing directly from the scalp. Another benefit of monofilament is how lightweight and breathable to material is. This is especially important for those with scalp sensitivity.
Hand-tied indicates that an element of the wig has hair that was individually tied by hand. This results in a wig that is realistic, soft, and flexible.
Memory caps are thinner, stretchier, and more secure than other types of wig caps. This type of cap forms to the head to ensure a better fit.
